Another year down and it has been a big one! I talked about toys all over the place, started a school and embarked on my biggest project to date! Somewhere in the middle I stopped reviewing toys for a bit and, you know what? I actually missed it. And, apparently so did you. The We Vibe 4 is my favorite product this year because of its discreteness and kinky potential.
This has been my year of sex-ploration, trying new things and expanding our toybox selection. I’m not sure if you want to know about new products, or new-to-me products that are this year’s favorites, so I’ll just answer with the latter.
I discovered my g-spot this year, thanks to the help of nJoy Pure Wand. Oh my! I started using the small end, thinking I needed that precision, but sometimes it was uncomfortable or downright hurt. Switching to the larger ball gave me all of the pleasure with more comfort. I love that we can play with temperature as well. Heating it up under warm water really gives it a different sensation, but sometimes I still like it on the cold side. Pair it with my other new favorite, the We-Vibe Tango, and I’m practically seeing stars!

My favorite product and only pleasure-related product is Venom brand black nitrile gloves. My favorite product from this year is my BS G-Spot dildo. It’s probably the first thing I’ve really enjoyed having in my vagina. It’s really squishy, which is probably why I like it so much, given that every other toy I can use internally is hard. It’s definitely made me realize what my body needs, which had been a big breakthrough.
As for products, might I suggest something from the same company? I know the dildo I have likely wouldn’t appeal to you, but they have other shapes, and plugs, all in really cool designs. They have butt plugs that look like medicine capsules, which I think is super cool.

This has been my first year having and using actual sex toys/utensils (instead of unclean, improvised ones) and it’s been something of an eye-opener for me. I know more about myself and what I want from my sex toys/utensils than ever before. My favorites – yes, I have more than one – from this first year have to be the We Vibe Touch, Exotic Erotics James and Damn Average’s Small Cephalopod.
The We Vibe Touch has been my go-to vibrator that pretty much ensures quality orgasms and got me away from the nasty, old improvised vibrator I’d been using before. The fact that it’s really quiet, all four steady vibration settings from lowest to highest and the pulse pattern setting give me orgasms (the pulse one is good for giving me more than one orgasm per session) and it comes with a nice storage pouch so it doesn’t attract all the lint is more than enough to make it a favorite.
My Exotic Erotics’ James is a favorite because not only is he one of the prettiest things I’ve ever had the pleasure of custom ordering I literally gave the folks at EE a picture of a nebula to use as reference and let them decide how to make a nebula dildo and they really outdid themselves on it. He’s a lifecast toy which means he’s a silicone replica of a man’s penis and balls and the lifecasting process really captured the tiny details of an actual penis that you don’t see on sculpted dildos. He’s got four inches of useable length which means my cervix isn’t getting poked painfully by something beyond my 5 3/4 inch depth limit. The balls on him are really huge and make for a sturdy base for riding (especially with a butt plug in) but I still can’t get over the fact that there’s an actual guy out there with balls this big.

My Damn Average Small Cephalopod is a favorite not only because of color, but because the lower suckers of the tentacle rub something close to the opening of my vagina in a way that feels really great (not sure if it’s my G spot just yet, I’m still searching for that), it’s not so long it’ll jab my cervix and it’s a really, really smooth toy. The smoothness comes from the fact that the mold used to make it was cast from a hand sculpted sculpture and not a 3D print (which would leave lots of scratchy printer texture if not properly sanded). As for the color, it’s a really lovely marble of sea green, white and red that makes it look like a shark attack in the ocean with the sunlight brightly reflecting off the water. It was an impulse buy while I was purchasing one of Damn Average’s silicone frog sculptures (which has become my mascot of sorts), but I’m really, really glad I bought it.

For suggestions for new things for the 2015 sex toy to-do list, I’d suggest the Average Alien or Above Average Alien from Damn Average over on Etsy. I don’t own either, but I’ve heard some pretty wonderful things from friends who do about what it does to the G spot. Damn Average also does really, really pretty marbles that take her toys from just really great sex toys to sex toys that are also works of art.
Though the person behind the shop isn’t currently accepting custom orders at this time and updates in stock stuff only occasionally, so that might wind up getting put off till later in the year. I know the Average Alien’s original mold broke so it might be a bit before any more pop up in stock.
The only other thing I could think of to add to the list is seeing if the Mona Wave is actually an improvement on the Mona 2 or if it’s not.
My favorite toy this year was the Tantus Sport, followed by the Tantus Paddles, and the We Vibe Touch (with the new non-cat hair attracting silicon).
Re: favorite things: I bought an Iroha Mini Vibe this year and LOVE IT. The unique shape really does it for me!
