With Great Power Comes Great…
Hey All! Exciting announcement! As you know, from my piece with that title, I have very strong feelings about Why Good Sex Shops Matter and I know, from your response to that piece that you agree! Over the last couple of weeks my inbox and twitter feed have been flooded with recommendations of awesome sex shops. I have always said that I am on a mission to save the world from mediocre sex (like a superhero!) and I have amassed a list of shops that share that mission. Shops that provide high-quality products made with body-safe materials, shops that provide accurate education, shops that have an open, accepting environment for folks to learn explore and play – Superhero Sex Shops. It was originally my goal to compile this list and place it on the Bedhead Approved Shopping page (which I will still do) but I found myself wishing that I could go to all of these stores, check them out, meet the awesome people behind them, talk about sex and toys and education and give you guys fun profiles like I did with She Bop in Portland.
Then I realized that I’m about to move cross-country without a job and so, you know what? I can!
So, I’m here today to announce my latest project:
The Superhero Sex Shop Tour – Part 1
Between now and mid-April I will be visiting 15 awesome shops covering the east coast, the mid-west and a little bit of Canada in between! I will bring you profiles of as many shops as I can – that is subject to the discretion of each individual shop- but as of right now a whole bunch of places are in to be profiled and I’m so excited! So, that’s the tour. Please note that this is just Part 1- I know there are places I’m missing, the entire West Coast for example! (And Self Serve-You’re totally on my list.
