So last week we looked back at the shops I’ve already seen, now let’s take a look at the awesome sex shops still to come! So far the list is 9 (I’m counting all the Good Vibrations as 1) but it will probably grow. I already know of at least 2 more shops I want to check out – new great shops come to my attention all the time. Fun fact- the last leg of the tour started with 14 shops, 3 were added along the way! For now, however, here are some of the awesome places I’m checking out. I will be doing the shops from San Francisco to San Diego in a couple of weeks and hitting Vancouver, Seattle, Ashland and Eureka later in the fall.

Womyn’s Ware – Vancouver, BC

“Sexual ecstasy obtainable by all”, “no bullshit marketing” “joy replaces shame” This is what Womyn’s Ware teaches and that makes me think something pretty special is going on up in Vancouver. I can’t wait to check it out.

Babeland – Seattle, WA

This is the original Babeland (Babes in Toyland actually – yes, I get all hipster about that) location. This is where it started. I can’t wait!

Love Revolution – Ashland, OR

Everyone who has spoken to me about this place has end up talking about “celebrating sexuality” – even people who don’t normally say such things. I feel like Love Revolution might make this sex geek with a touch of hippie a happy girl.

Good Relations – Eureka, CA

Owned by a trained clinical psychologist and known for having an impeccably trained staff Good Relations is a place I’m eager to check out.

Good Vibrations – San Francisco, Oakland & Berkeley CA

So, most of you know I used to live very close to the Good Vibrations in Brookline MA, I think that had a lot to do with the birth of the Bedhead. I feel like going to the birthplace of Good Vibrations is (as hokey as I know it sounds) going home.

Feelmore 510– Oakland, CA

I’ve wanted to check out Feelmore 510 ever since I read that owner Lanenna Joiner titled the shop a “parlor” rather than a “boutique” so as not to alienate male customers (I thought that was cool. Inclusion is for everyone, folks) and everything I’ve heard since has just made me want to get there more. I. Can’t. Wait.

Pure Pleasure – Santa Cruz, CA

A mother-daughter owned shop (another one! Oh My! in Northampton is one too) with an education-based mission. I’m in!

Pleasure Chest– Los Angeles, CA

I’ve been to Pleasure Chest in NYC and Chicago and I’m so excited to hit the one in LA- I just love these folks!
