HEADS UP: As this post is over a decade old, almost all of the products mentioned in it have gone on to the big bedside drawer in the sky. It is still a fun walk down memory lane, though.
Yes, I know, I’ve been celebrating the Bedhead’s first birthday for almost a solid month now but bear with me for one more post. I want to share with you some of my favorite product discoveries from the last year. As some of you know, when I started this project I was pretty much clueless. I’ve spent the last year learning about (and amassing quite the collection of) high quality sex products. These are my 10 favorite sexy finds from the last year. Most of these have appeared on other lists throughout the year, pardon the repetition. Also there are several awesome high-quality companies I love who don’t appear on this list, I’ll do a post soon devoted exclusively to the celebrating all the great, body-safe companies out there.

Handcrafted, high-quality, environmentally conscious, body-safe, beautiful glass toys by awesome people- that’s Crystal Delights! Everybody seems to love their Minx tails I’m partial to the “Frosted Eggplant” color. It doesn’t look like an animal but rather a favorite, copyright-protected entity of mine that rhymes with “fuppet” 😉
Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator- DISCONTINUED
I already reviewed this one so I’m not going to say a whole lot here but this was one of my favorite discoveries of the year. Three cheers for lazy masturbation!
Fucking Sculptures – DISCONTINUED
More beautiful handmade glass toys. I’m just really down with this company. They are cool as hell. The toy I’m holding there is the “Pussywillow” in “Medium” Yeah. That’s the “medium”
Addendum: That is NOT a medium. I found this out when I visited a shop, saw a Pussywillow labeled medium and noticed it was significantly smaller. I tweeted at Fucking Sculptures and they said something like “Oh yeah, yours is a ‘large’, if memory serves it’s a large ‘large’ at that. ” I’d like to get my hands on a medium… The large is awesome but really, really big.

I know you guys are probably so over hearing me talk about this flogger but man oh man do I love this thing! Made from leather and up-cycled cashmere, it’s beautiful and actually does deliver a pleasing little bite.

Tenga Egg Masturbation Sleeves
I know, I don’t even have a penis but I love these things. I went through a period where all of the men in my life received Tenga Eggs and small bottles of lube- I was very popular. Also, they are very versatile. Put one over a vibrator- fun! Put one over your hand- yummy! There’s a lot you can do with these little wonders. Also, the new Keith Haring ones are adorable.

I picked this piece up on my tour and I absolutely love it! Beautiful and fabulous for temperature play- fill it with warm water (it retains heat for ages!) or put it in ice water. Awesome. Lovemoiselle has a couple of really cool ceramic toys. (Well, they used to. These seem to have been discontinued)
Janine’s Pirates Cove Rocket Vibrator- DISCONTINUED
So I literally, just now, found out that that is the name of this product. I always call it my “sparkly pirate vibe” I stand by my belief that everyone needs a basic, simple vibe that works for them on hand – a lot of folks talk about keeping a Pocket Rocket around- this is a way prettier version of the first vibe that ever worked for me and, say what you will, I love it.

If you’ve read any amount of this site odds are you’ve seen me mention this stuff- I’m slightly obsessed with it. It’s the first decent lube I ever used and although I’ve found others I like (For example I love Sliquid as a brand!) but this has remained the champ in my house.
